Griffin Regional College's award-winning aerospace training program promotes careers in aerospace, aviation, and STEM through dedicated, standardized curricula and activities, and active participation in the civil air force, which has received the Georgia Air National Guard's highest award for excellence in aviation training. Griffin Technical College was founded in Griffin in 1963 and after a merger, a branch of Southern Crescent Technical College was established in Griffin. The Griffin Review Board, the first of its kind in Georgia and the second in Georgia.

Its headquarters is the Griffin Museum of Natural History, where guided tours are offered daily from 9 am to 4 pm. The hotel was built in 1910 and reopened as a ghost attraction in October after it closed in the 1970s.

The Griffin Lions Club has received a $10,000 grant from the Lions Clubs International Foundation and is in the process of providing emergency assistance to its community. We are looking for civic-minded men and women who can work with us to make a difference in our community, and we are grateful for donations from local businesses and citizens that will enable us to continue to serve those in need. Firstly, Community outreach is possible by securing the means to supply smoke detectors and fire extinguishers to the local government and its citizens. Griffin Lion's Club is responsible for providing smoke detectors and fire extinguishers to the Griffin Fire Department, the local fire department and the city of Griffin Police Department.
